HOMETOWN:
I don't really have one, although I've lived in Indy longer than anyplace else. It's been over ten years this time around!

CAREER HISTORY: I started my radio career right here at Emmis Communications as a promotions intern back in '88. This is the third time I've come back, so I must love it! I've been on the air in Oregon, Texas, and New Mexico too. It's been a wild ride!

FAVE LIVE MUSIC VENUE: Got to see the George Strait Country Music Festival outdoors at the Sun Bowl in El Paso. That was pretty darn cool!

FAVORITE CONCERT I'VE EVER BEEN TO: I had the amazing privilege to be at the very first Farm Aid in Champaign, IL back in '85. (Yes, I'm an Illini, but I'm also a Hoosier!) John Mellencamp, Willie Nelson, Bon Jovi, Van Halen, Foreigner, Tom Petty, Don Henley, Darryl Hall, Bonnie Raitt, Billy Joel, Jimmy Buffett, etc., etc. etc. 16 hours of amazing live music! My hands were totally swollen the next day from clapping1

MOVIES: One of my all-time faves is "Last of the Mohicans". A killer love story, along with a history lesson and blood and guts!

TELEVISION: Am currently addicted to "Mad Men" on Netflix! I love "30 Rock", "Modern Family", "The Middle", "Raising Hope", and of course, the NFL on CBS. Go Colts! (I miss you, Peyton!)

HEROES: My grandfather, Lifeline nurses, veterans

MEMORABLE ON AIR MOMENT: Watching the planes hit the Twin Towers on TV, Sept. 11th, 2001, in the middle of our morning show, having to do my first-ever newscast the day the U.S. started bombing Iraq back in '91, hearing the O.J. Simpson verdict live on our show…

LITTLE KNOWN FACT ABOUT ME: I was the only girl on a boys' soccer team in the 5th grade!

COOLEST CELEBRITY I EVER MET: Got to give Tim McGraw a hug before one of his shows! Thought I was going to die! ☺

DREAM INTERVIEW: Peyton Manning!

ADDICTION: Leinenkugel's Summer Shandy, Starbuck's Frappuccinos, and anything with sugar in it!

FAVE LOCAL HANG OUT: My couch, watching football!

DREAM VACATION: Ireland, England, Germany, Australia. I'd like to visit some haunted castles!

FAVE ESCAPE: Northern Michigan in the summertime!

TYPICAL BREAKFAST: Half a light English muffin, Laughing Cow cheese, and a veggie sausage patty. No, I'm not a veggie, it's just low-fat and tastes good! I've been on a diet since the fourth grade!

HOW I SPEND MY FREE TIME: I love to walk our Boxer, Axel, with my hubby, Steve. It's a great way to get to know everyone in the neighborhood and check in with them! We also love to check out new restaurants, go to Colts, Pacers, and Indians games, and go out for breakfast on Saturday mornings. Skiing is my big passion, but I don't get to go as often as I'd like to!

FAVE ROADTRIP FROM INDY: Chicago is perfect! Three hours and you're in a BIG city! Fun!

LIKE TO COOK? Not nearly as much as Steve does! He's the chef in the family!

PET PEEVE: Bad grammar and misspelled words! Mom was an English teacher.

FIRST CD PURCHASED: Ha! How 'bout an album?! It was The Best of the Doobies. Loved it!

PETS: Axel, a beautiful Boxer!

THREE THINGS THAT SCARE ME: roaches (I used to live in south Florida), hotel rooms (gross!), and Celebrity Ghost Stories!

THREE OF MY EVERYDAY ESSENTIALS: coffee, walking Axel, the elliptical

THREE THINGS TO DO BEFORE I DIE: go to every national park in the country, visit Europe, and write a novel!
