Taylor Swift is now offering up the title track to her upcoming album, "Red." She previewed the song on ABC's "Good Morning America" Monday, explaining that the color is a metaphor for her feelings.
Meantime, Swift is talking about one of her older songs to "Glamour" magazine. She calls it "presumptuous" of John Mayer to claim the track "Dear John," from her CD "Speak Now," is about him. But she also doesn't want to know what he thought of being the subject of one of her songs. Taylor explains that she puts "a high priority on staying happy," and she's pretty sure what Mayer said "wasn't good." Swift adds that she's not "this egomaniac" who can't every hear "anything negative." She says she's "never developed that thick a skin," and believes it could be dangerous to go "too far down the rabbit hole of what people think about you."
The track "Red" will be available from iTunes Tuesday at 12:01 a.m. Eastern time. Swift's album "Red" will be in stores on October 22nd. Taylor will be on the cover of the November issue of "Glamour," which will arrive on newsstands October 9th.
