Swift Lands Three In Top Ten On Revised Country Songs Chart
Taylor Swift's "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" is the new number one on the "Billboard" Country Songs chart. It's also one of three Swift tracks in the top ten, courtesy of a revision in the way the list is compiled. While the chart was previously based only on Nielsen BDS data of radio airplay, "Billboard" is now also factoring in digital sales and streaming data to determine each song's rankings. The chart's new parameters shoots Swift's "Never" back into the top spot. It was at number 21 last week. In addition, the title track to her upcoming album "Red" follows, making its Country Songs chart debut at number two. "Begin Again" is also making a big leap, landing at number ten after debuting last week at number 37.
Meanwhile, Swift is holding the top three spots on the Country Digital Songs chart. "Red" leads that list, followed by "Never" at number two and "Begin Again" at number three. But "Begin Again" ranks the highest among the three songs on the Country Airplay list, at number 29. "Never" is at number 36, while "Red" isn't on that chart.
