11/9/2012

Florida Georgia Line continue to make a splash with their debut single. "Cruise," which has climbed to number two on the Billboard Country Songs chart, has also reached a sales plateau. The duo now has their first Gold record with the single, which has hit the 500-thousand mark in downloads. A few country women are also earning new certifications from the Recording Industry Association of America. Taylor Swift's chart-topper "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" has gone double Platinum with downloads surpassing two-million, while Carrie Underwood has her tenth Platinum hit with the single "Blown Away." And Miranda Lambert now has four Platinum singles to her credit with "Over You." The singer and her husband Blake Shelton, who wrote "Over You," recently received the CMA Song of the Year award for the track.
