McGraw, Underwood Headlining New UK Country Music Festival
American country music continues to make inroads overseas. Tim McGraw and Carrie Underwood have been tapped to headline Britain's inaugural C2C: Country to Country festival, taking place at London's O2 Arena on March 16th and 17th. McGraw leads the day-one lineup, which will also feature Vince Gill, Little Big Town, and Sugarland's Kristian Bush. Darius Rucker, LeAnn Rimes, and Brantley Gilbert will help Carrie close out the event, while more stars are expected to be added to the shows. Both headliners say they're excited about the upcoming festival. Tim calls the event one of the things he's "looking forward to the most" in 2013. Carrie adds that she loves "the idea of a country music festival in London," and she feels "honored to help represent country music" at the British event.
Country to Country is one of three shows Carrie will be playing on the other side of the Atlantic next year. Prior to her appearance at the London festival, Underwood will perform in Dublin, Ireland and Belfast, Northern Ireland. Carrie just made her British concert debut earlier this year. She played her first-ever UK show at London's Royal Albert Hall on June 21st.
