Jason Aldean Excited About People's Choice Awards

Jason Aldean admits he'll be a bit out of his element at the People's Choice Awards. The country star tells "Parade" magazine he's "not used to playing a lot of black-tie events," but he says he plans to "get onstage and have fun and bring a country-rock flair to the show." Aldean is participating as a first time nominee, which he says makes the event even more special because it "comes from the fans." Jason is in the running for Favorite Country Artist, and faces Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Blake Shelton, and Tim McGraw for the honor. Taylor, Carrie, and Blake each have multiple chances to win. Swift also has a nomination for Favorite Song with her hit "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," and she joins Underwood in vying for Favorite Female Artist. Shelton also has a nod for Favorite Male Artist. The 2013 People's Choice Awards will take place at the Nokia Theater L.A. Live, and air on CBS Wednesday night at 9:00 p.m. Eastern.
