Shelton Making Guest Appearance As Reba's Brother On "Malibu Country"

Even though Blake Shelton and Reba McEntire won't be co-hosting this year's Academy of Country Music Awards, fans will still get a chance to see the two singers together on the small screen in the coming weeks. But it'll be in a fictional setting. Reba revealed Tuesday via Twitter that Blake will be making a guest appearance on her ABC sitcom "Malibu Country," playing the part of her brother. The episode will air on March 1st. On "Malibu Country" Reba portrays a country singer who relocated to California with her mother and teenage kids to make a fresh start after her marriage fell apart. The sitcom is part of ABC's Friday night lineup, airing at 8:30 p.m. Eastern.

Reba recently stepped down as a host for the ACM Awards after leading the ceremony a total of 14 times since 1986. She and Shelton served as co-hosts in 2011 and 2012. This year Blake will be teaming up with Luke Bryan to oversee the event, which will air on CBS on April 7th.
