Lady Antebellum Raise 235-Thousand-Dollars For Henryville
Lady Antebellum is giving Henryville, Indiana 235-thousand-dollars to help with the town's tornado recovery efforts. Kentucky's "Courier-Journal" says that's how much the country trio raised with their "Rebuilding Henryville Charity Ball," which took place in Louisville Wednesday night. The event grew out of the group's "Own The Night Prom Contest." Lady A planned to play a prom concert for students at Henryville High School, which was destroyed in the March 2nd tornado, but then expanded the event to include a fundraiser for the community as well. Lady A played a few songs and took requests at the exclusive junior-senior prom event, which also featured a disc jockey. In addition to singing, band members also took to the floor to dance with some of the students. The group followed the prom concert with the "Rebuilding Henryville Charity Ball" fundraiser, which was open to the public.
