Country music star Chely Wright is talking more about what life has been like since she announced she is gay. Wright tells Gayle King on CBS's "This Morning" she wishes she had a little more support from the country music community.
Wright says she enjoys working with advocacy groups, especially GLSEN , the Gay, Lesbian, Straight Education Network, which tries to educate people about bullying in schools. She also says she knew she was gay from a young age and would pray to God to take the burden away from her, as she grew up in a family and community who disliked gay people. Wright's documentary "Wish Me Away," which recalls her coming out story, is opening in theaters in New York City and Berkeley, California on Friday. The film will also become available next month as a Video On Demand.
