Zac Brown Band Performs, David Nail Plays In All-Star Events
Zac Brown Band's new album "Uncaged" is in stores today. The group supported the release with a performance of their latest single, "The Wind," at Major League Baseball's Home Run Derby, which aired on ESPN Monday night.
Following the Home Run Derby, ESPN aired the Legends & Celebrity Softball Game, which included David Nail among the players. The singer shared his experience via Twitter, saying he had a great time. He admitted that unlike 2010's game, when he hit a home run, this time around he was only able to showcase his "speed and defense." But he got some hits that drew praise from baseball great Steve Garvey, and he tweeted that former St. Louis Cardinals star Ozzie Smith called him "Red Light" while commenting on his fielding. In addition, Sunday's game took place in the Missouri-born country star's home state. Kansas City is hosting this year's All-Star Game and the festivities surrounding the event.
