Zac Brown Band, Hank Jr. Fare Well On Billboard 200
Zac Brown Band is debuting at the top of the charts with their latest effort, "Uncaged." While the disc was expected to top the Billboard 200, it's landing at number one with better than expected first-week sales. "Uncaged" is leading the list with 234-thousand copies sold, well surpassing the anticipated 200-to-220-thousand sales mark. Zac Brown Band did benefit from a special deal from Amazon, which was offering "Uncaged for the discounted price of three-99. "Uncaged" is Zac Brown Band's second consecutive chart-topping album, and gives the group the best sales week of their career. Their previous best was in 2010 with "You Get What You Give," which topped the charts with 153-thousand copies sold.
Hank Williams Jr. is making the highest Billboard 200 chart debut of his career. The country legend's latest effort, "Old School, New Rules" just misses the top ten, entering the list at number 12 with sales of 25-thousand. Hank's previous best on the all-genre chart dates back to 1964, when "Your Cheatin' Heart" peaked at number 16. His 2006 best-of set "That's How They Do It In Dixie" also topped out at number 16.
