Country Stars Linked To Emmy Nominees

Country stars are connected to some of this year's Emmy nominees. "The Voice" -- which includes Blake Shelton as a coach and last season featured Miranda Lambert as one of his assistants -- is in the running for Outstanding Reality-Competition Program. The NBC series is facing "The Amazing Race," "Dancing With The Stars," "Project Runway," "So You Think You Can Dance," and "Top Chef" for the prize. Meanwhile, Carrie Underwood, Faith Hill, and Willie Nelson are among the performers featured on "Tony Bennett: Duets 2," which is up for Outstanding Variety Special. And Keith Urban will likely be rooting for wife Nicole Kidman, who's a nominee for Outstanding Lead Actress In A Miniseries Or A Movie for her portrayal of Martha Gellhorn in HBO's "Hemingway & Gellhorn."
Nominees for the 64th Primetime Emmy Awards were announced Thursday. The ceremony will air live on ABC on Sunday, September 23rd, starting at 8:00 p.m. Eastern, 5:00 p.m. Pacific.
