Darius Rucker To Perform Benefit For Idaho Meth Prevention
Darius Rucker is lending his voice to the war on drugs. The "Idaho State Journal" says the singer is on board for the upcoming "Give Meth the Boot" concert. The fundraiser supports the Idaho Meth Project, which is working to curb methamphetamine use throughout Southeast Idaho through a multimedia prevention campaign. Darius says he had no problem saying "yes" to the show. He says he was sad to learn just how extensive meth use is in the region, and adds that if his "little hour and a half show can help in any way" he'll "be there." Rucker isn't the first country star to support the cause. Lady Antebellum and Josh Turner have previously performed benefits for the organization. "Give Meth the Boot" featuring Darius Rucker will take place at Melaleuca Field in Idaho Falls on August 3rd.
