Jason Aldean's "Take A Little Ride" has become an instant hit. The singer says he believes the new approach he took in unveiling the single really made a difference.
"Take A Little Ride" arrived on July 16th, and immediately hit number one on the iTunes chart. The ten-day-old song is debuting this week on the Billboard Digital Songs chart at number two with 189-thousand downloads. It's also entering the Country Songs chart at number 19, and giving Jason the highest charting debut of his career. In addition, "Take A Little Ride" has logged the most downloads ever for a male country artist. Scotty McCreery previously held that record with "I Love You This Big," which had first week sales of 171-thousand.
"Take A Little Ride" is the lead-off single from Aldean's upcoming album. The still untitled project is expected in stores in the fall. It's the follow up to Jason's hit album "My Kinda Party."
