Taylor Swift Parents Reportedly Split Up
Taylor Swift is reportedly dealing with a fractured family. "Star" magazine says the country-pop superstar's parents have split up. An unnamed source tells the publication that Andrea and Scott Swift stopped being a couple "sometime within the last two years" but had been "trying to keep their marital problems private." The source also says the two are no longer wearing their wedding rings, but don't plan to formally divorce because "they don't want it to damage Taylor's career." The insider adds that Taylor's career could actually be the reason behind the split. Andrea accompanies her daughter on all her tours, and the source says all that time away from home "has really been hard on her relationship with Scott."
Nobody from the Swift camp has commented on the family situation. But when Taylor was recently asked about the songs she's been writing for her next album, she described the material as "sad." The source says the singer is writing about "the pain of her parents' separation."
