Brad Paisley Reportedly In Talks To Become "Idol" Judge

Brad Paisley is reportedly exploring the possibility of becoming a judge on "American Idol." "The Country Vibe" cites an unnamed source who says the country star and his reps will meet with execs from the Fox reality show in Los Angeles this week to try to work out a deal. Brad's name surfaced last week as a possible new "Idol" judge. The show had two confirmed vacancies for next season following the departures of Jennifer Lopez and Aerosmith's Steven Tyler. "Idol" has since signed Mariah Carey. While no official announcement has been made about judge Randy Jackson, he's expected to return to the show.
Paisley isn't the only country star "Idol" has attempted to court. Toby Keith reportedly told "Inland Empire Weekly" he had been approached for the job but turned it down.
