Ethel Kennedy Would Approve Of Grandson Dating Taylor Swift
Taylor Swift's rumored romance with Conor Kennedy is getting a big stamp of approval. "The New York Daily News" says Robert Kennedy's widow Ethel Kennedy -- Conor's grandmother -- is in favor of the relationship. Taylor and Ethel first met several months ago and the two got along well, but Ethel says she hasn't played matchmaker with her 18-year-old grandson and the 22-year-old country star. However, she says the Kennedys would be lucky to have Swift become part of the family. Ethel's daughter Rory adds that Swift is "a great friend of the family." But neither Ethel or Rory are confirming that Taylor and Conor are an item. The Kennedy women were asked about the rumored relationship while talking to TV critics about Rory's upcoming bio-documentary "Ethel" in Beverly Hills Wednesday.
In recent weeks Swift has been spending a lot of time with Conor, who is the son of Robert Kennedy, Jr. and grandnephew of former President John F. Kennedy. The two spent last weekend together in Hyannis Port, and the previous week they were seen dining in Mount Kisco. Swift also spent her Fourth of July holiday in Massachusetts with the Kennedy family.
