Jason Aldean Plans To Ease Into The Stadium Circuit
Jason Aldean says he's not going to rush into a stadium tour. The country star tells TasteOfCountry.com that Sunday's show at Crew Stadium in Columbus, Ohio was a test. The singer admits he was able to approach the date with confidence, given the way his tour has been going this year. He explains that he's been easily selling out amphitheaters, and could probably play two-night stands to capacity crowds in most cities. But Aldean says he wants to be careful about taking his career to the next level. He admits he's concerned about transitioning too quickly, because he doesn't want to make a mistake and "end up going backwards instead of going forward." However, Jason says performing in stadiums "on a consistent basis" is "definitely in the plans."
On Sunday Aldean set a new attendance record for Crew Stadium, performing for more than 27-thousand fans. The show was part of his "My Kinda Party" tour, which continues this weekend with three shows in Florida. Jason will be in Jacksonville on Thursday, Tampa on Friday, and West Palm Beach on Saturday.
