Gloriana's Album Makes Make Top Five Country Chart Debut
Gloriana's new album is beginning its chart run close to the top. The trio's latest studio effort, "A Thousand Miles Left Behind," is entering the Billboard Country Albums list at number two behind Zac Brown Band's "Uncaged." Gloriana's disc saw first-week sales of 23-thousand to capture the runner-up position on the chart. On the all-genre Billboard 200 the group falls just short of the top ten, landing at number eleven. Billboard.com says the Bee Gees ended up playing the spoiler for Gloriana. Amazon offered a special sale of the legendary pop trio's 2004 best-of set "Number Ones, which spiked a three-thousand-49-percent increase in sales for the album, which has the number five spot on the chart.
Gloriana's previous release, their 2009 self-titled debut, also entered the Country Albums chart at number two. It hit the Billboard 200 at number three with first-week sales of 44-thousand.
