Randy Travis' Friends Encouraging Him To Enter Rehab
Those close to country star Randy Travis are expressing a concern for the singer following his recent arrest in Texas. One unnamed friend tells the "Chicago Sun-Times" that Randy needs to enter a treatment program or get "some kind of serious counseling." The pal explains that it's evident Travis has a problem since he's now had two alcohol-related run-ins with police this year, and his latest incident was "much, much worse" than "that church thing back in February."
Travis was arrested outside a suburban Dallas church after the Super Bowl in February for suspected public drunkenness. Police found him sitting in a car with an open bottle of wine and smelling of alcohol. On Tuesday Travis was taken into custody after he crashed his car into a construction barricade near Tioga, Texas. Before the crash he allegedly walked into a convenience store drunk and naked demanding cigarettes. Police say he also threatened to "shoot and kill" the troopers investigating his case as they drove him to the station. Travis is currently free on 21-thousand-500-dollars bai
