Dolly Parton says Elvis Presley might be considered the King of Rock 'n' Roll, but she admits that term hardly defines the scope of his musical reach.
Dolly adds that she's proud the Mississippi-born Elvis is so closely associated with her home state of Tennessee. Thousands of Presley fans are flocking to Memphis this week for the annual Elvis Week celebration. The event celebrates the life and commemorates the death of the legendary star. Activities include the Candlelight Vigil, which will take place at Presley's Graceland mansion Wednesday night. This year marks the 35th anniversary of Elvis' death.
