Willie Nelson is reportedly having some respiratory difficulties. Colorado's 9News.com says the 79-year-old country legend missed his concert in Denver Saturday night. His backing band had already arrived at the venue when it was apparent Nelson wasn't going to appear. The crowd was told that Willie was receiving treatment at a hospital for "breathing problems due to the high altitude and emphysema." No further information has been given about Nelson's condition.
Saturday's event was a fundraiser for the Denver area animal shelter Dumb Friends League. Willie performed as planned in Nebraska on Friday. According to his website, his next scheduled show is set for Dallas on Tuesday.
