Miranda Lambert Searching For Lost Dog
Miranda Lambert is looking for one of her dogs. The country singer revealed via Twitter this week that she hadn't seen her black lab Loretta since Sunday, and she and husband Blake Shelton are "praying she comes home soon." Miranda describes Loretta as a small, "very friendly" dog with a pink collar with a tag. Lambert is asking anyone -- especially those in the Tishomingo, Oklahoma area -- who might find her to "please call the number on her tag." The singer found Loretta back in May. In announcing her discovery it was clear she was attached to the dog. She tweeted that she was hoping the lab would "go to a new good home soon," adding that "maybe" the dog already had. A month later Miranda revealed that Blake had agreed to keep Loretta.
Lambert is passionate about animals, and she and Shelton have an extensive dog family. Her canine companions include Ophelia, Emmy Lou, Delta, Delilha, Jessi, Waylon, Virginia Bluebell, Black Betty and Cher. Miranda also hosts annual "Cause for the Paws" benefits to raise money for her charity, the Muttnation Foundation, which supports animal shelters and rescue organizations.
