Scotty McCreery Display Featured At North Carolina Museum

Scotty McCreery is being honored in his home state. The North Carolina Museum of History is dedicating an exhibit case to the 2011 "American Idol" winner. The display includes the jeans, t-shirt, black leather jacket, and cross necklace Scotty wore for his performance with Tim McGraw on the night he took the "Idol" title. Visitors will also see the lyric sheet for their performance of "Live Like You Were Dying," which designates Scotty's lines with an "S" and McGraw's lines with a "T." McCreery's Gold record for his debut disc, "Clear As Day," and his mom's backstage pass for the 2011 "Idol" finale are also featured. "Scotty McCreery: An 'American Idol'" will be on display at the N.C. Museum of History through January 4th.
McCreery's album is celebrating its first anniversary on Thursday. "Clear As Day" arrived in stores on October 4th, 2011 -- five days before Scotty's 18th birthday. The CD debuted at number one on both the Billboard 200 and the Country Albums chart.
