Lee Brice says he can still remember when songwriters Ben Glover, Billy Montana, and John Ozier first shared "Hard To Love" with him. The singer admits he was amazed with what he heard.
Brice explains that as he listened to the song it seemed like he had been "right in the room writing it with them." "Hard To Love" was written specifically for Lee at a writer's retreat, and the country star says it shows how well Ben, Billy, and John know him. But Brice admits it wasn't just the personal connection he felt to the song that attracted him. He says he could tell instantly that "Hard To Love" would be a hit.
Brice helped honor Glover, Montana, and Ozier at a "Hard To Love" number one party Tuesday night in Nashville, and he says the songwriters deserve the recognition. Lee adds that he's thrilled to be a part of Ozier's first hit single and he couldn't be happier for Glover and Montana, whom he calls two of his "great friends."
