Clint Black "Devastated" By Dad's Unexpected Death
Clint Black is mourning the sudden and unexpected death of his dad. The country star says his family was "devastated" to learn that his 78-year-old father, G.A. Black, apparently took his own life on Sunday. A statement from the singer explains that over the past 18-months the elder Mr. Black lost his wife Mary Lou and has experienced his own health issues. It added that over the weekend he "chose to end his own suffering without any indication to his family or friends that he might do so." Clint says he and his brothers Mark, Brian, and Kevin are "still in the beginning stages of preparations to honor our father." He's also asking for privacy to give his family "the opportunity to fully process what's transpired" since Sunday.
