Wynonna, Cactus Celebrating The Season On "Rockin' Christmas Tour"
Wynonna Judd is spreading some holiday cheer on her "Rockin' Christmas Tour." The country star launched the seasonal trek in Canada last week with a performance in Regina Saskatchewan. But the celebratory nature of the show wasn't just due to the holiday season. The Regina "Leader-Post" says the concert marked drummer Cactus Moser's first performance since his motorcycle crash last summer. Moser, who's also Wy's husband, lost part of his left leg in the accident. The paper says he received lots of love during the show, including a "lengthy standing ovation." Wy also discussed the accident, telling the crowd that she and Cactus have come "a long way" since the August 18th crash, calling it "truly a miracle." The Regina show wasn't originally part of the Christmas tour. Wy was slated to perform in the Canadian city on August 22nd -- four days after Moser's accident -- and this was the make-good date.
Wynonna's tour will continue through a December 22nd date in Sarasota, Florida. The performances, which Wy stresses are Christmas concerts -- not holiday shows -- feature a mix of secular and sacred Christmas classics and hymns along with a few of her own hits. Wynonna and The Big Noise will play their next "Rockin' Christmas" show in Newark, Ohio Thursday night.
