Mindy McCready Denies Shooting Boyfriend In "Dateline" Interview
Mindy McCready says she doesn't know how her boyfriend died but denies having anything to do with the shooting that claimed his life. The country singer's statements come as Arkansas law enforcement investigate the January 13th death of David Wilson. In an interview with NBC's Andrea Canning for "Dateline," McCready denies suggestions that she may have played a role in her boyfriend's death.
It's been widely reported that Wilson committed suicide, the result of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. But the Cleburne County Sheriff's Department say it has not ruled out the possibility of murder. McCready admits the two were arguing on the night Wilson died. There were reports that he had been having an affair, but she denies he stepped out on her. McCready has had a long history of troubles including drug addiction and jail. She is not considered a suspect in Wilson's death. The 34-year-old music producer was also the father of McCready's nine-month-old son Zane.
