Gary Allan Needed Time To Know "Every Storm" Was A Hit
Gary Allan admits he didn't know right away that "Every Storm (Runs Out Of Rain)" would be a hit. But the country star says that's true of all his songs, explaining that he needs some distance before he can evaluate them.
Allan is currently topping several charts, courtesy of "Every Storm." The song is the new number one on the Billboard Country Airplay Chart as well as the Mediabase/Country Aircheck and "Music Row" lists.
The song's popularity also helped fuel sales of Gary's new CD, "Set You Free," which is giving the singer some career firsts. The album is debuting at the top of the all-genre Billboard 200 chart, marking his first time in the peak position. Billboard.com says the album reached number one on sales of 106-thousand, making last week Allan's best-ever sales week. It's also the first time he's sold more than 100-thousand albums in a week. His previous best week came in 2005 with "Tough All Over, which launched with sales of 99-thousand.
