Dierks Bentley says he's found out that winning a Grammy isn't easy. So even though he has a nomination of his own at this weekend's ceremony, he also has a back-up plan. Bentley points to the title track he co-wrote for the Grascals' "Life Finds a Way," which is in the running for Best Bluegrass Album.
And Dierks thinks the Grascals have a "pretty good shot" at winning this year. He notes that the usual bluegrass heavyweights like Ralph Stanley and Steve Martin aren't nominated this time around, which in his opinion makes the Grascals one of the favorites. And Bentley says he'll definitely run up with them if they win, just to say he did it.
Still, Bentley could score his first Grammy victory in his own right thanks to a Best Country Solo Performance nod for his song "Home." He'll also take the stage Sunday as one of the ceremony's performers. The 55th annual Grammy Awards will be broadcast live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles on CBS.
