Carrie Underwood Deeply Committed To Her Marriage
Carrie Underwood is very clear on her priorities -- her family comes first. The country star tells "People" she would never let her career jeopardize her marriage. She and her hockey player husband Mike Fisher both have very demanding careers that require them to spend a lot of time away from home, and she admits that can be tough on their relationship. But she says she'd "quit" if Mike ever said he needed her to do so. Carrie explains that she made a commitment to Mike when she said "I do," which she takes very seriously. The singer says that "when you make that promise to somebody, and you stand before God and your family and friends, you've got to do everything that you possibly can to make that work."
Carrie has been on the road for the past several weeks on her "Blown Away" tour. Her next concert is scheduled for Portland, Maine on April 9th. She'll be in Las Vegas this weekend for the Academy of Country Music Awards. Underwood is among the performers for the event, which will air on CBS Sunday night.
