Tim McGraw's Old Record Label Sues For Copyright Infringement
Tim McGraw's former record label is still looking for a piece of the action. Curb Records has filed a copyright infringement lawsuit against the country music superstar. Curb claims Tim failed to make good on a contract promise to make a fifth and final project for the label before signing with Big Machine Records last September. Citing court papers filed in U.S. District Court in Tennessee Monday, "The Tennessean" says Curb is staking ownership rights to McGraw's most recent album, "Two Lanes of Freedom," released back in February. Curb says the album was recorded before their contract with Tim was dissolved and that it's entitled to damages for lost property, among other things.
