Country Stars Nominated For International Bluegrass Awards


(Nashville, TN) -- Dierks Bentley is getting some recognition for his bluegrass leanings. The country star is among the nominees for the upcoming International Bluegrass Music Awards. He has a nod with The Grascals for their collaborative theme to "American Pickers," which is up for Recorded Event of the Year. It's one of two nominations for The Grascals, who are also in the running for Instrumental Recorded Performance of the Year with the song "Five Miles To Milan." Alison Krauss is also a nominee, with a bid for Female Vocalist of the Year. Her Union Station bandmates Dan Tyminski and Jerry Douglas are up for awards as well.

Douglas has also been tapped to host the ceremony with Lee Ann Womack. The Boxcars are the top nominee heading into the event, with ten chances to win. The 2014 International Bluegrass Music Awards will be presented in Raleigh, North Carolina on October 2nd.
