Eli Young Band Applying Lessons From Chesney Tour


(Chicago, IL) -- The Eli Young Band's Mike Eli says the group learned a lot from spending time on the road last year opening for Kenny Chesney. The country star tells CMT.com that on the 2013 trek they watched Kenny's show "from beginning to end," and saw how he "makes his live show so exciting" with every song he plays. Mike says he and his bandmates took that idea into the studio with their latest release, "10,000 Towns." He explains that they "wanted to make sure that every song on the record could do something really cool" for the Eli Young Band's concerts.

The Eli Young Band is currently on the road supporting "10,000 Towns." The group's next performance is set for the Rock the Park Gone Country Music Festival in London, Ontario, Canada on Wednesday.
