Eli Young Band Not Leaving Texas Roots

(Nashville, TN) -- The Eli Young Band's Mike Eli admits that from the start the group aspired to be more than just Texas favorites.

But Eli adds that no one in the group has ever wanted to leave Texas. The country singer says he and his band mates still call the Lone Star State home, and they intend to keep it that way. He adds that they feel a debt of gratitude to their Texas fans, explaining that their early followers created the band's "foundation," and enabled the Eli Young Band to "take this thing huge."

But it will be a while before the group is back performing in their home state. The Eli Young Band is currently on the road, and has shows scheduled in Oregon and Washington this weekend. Their next concert in Texas is set for Austin on August 20th.
