Gary Allan Working On New CD

(Nashville, TN) -- Gary Allan says he's taking control over his next album, and making the record on his own. But the country star explains that he'll still tap producers Mark Wright and Jay Joyce if he thinks a particular song would benefit from their talents.

Allan's next CD will be his follow up to "Set You Free." Allan also worked with Wright and Joyce on his 2013 release, and says he really let the producers run that project. "Set You Free" was Gary's first album to top the all-genre Billboard 200 chart. It features the number one hit "Every Storm (Runs Out Of Rain)."

In addition to working on new music, Gary is spending his summer playing shows. He'll be at the Country Explosion in Tooele, Utah on Friday and the Cheyenne Frontier Days in Cheyenne, Wyoming on Sunday.
