Hunter Hays To Give Two Special Performances This Weekend

(Undated)  --  Hunter Hayes will be in New York this weekend for two special performances.  The country star is slated to entertain at the 19th annual Arthur Ashe Kids' Day, taking place Saturday in conjunction with the 2014 U.S. Open.  Hunter says he's really looking forward to the children's tennis event.  While the singer admits he's not much of an athlete, he tells "Rolling Stone Country" he's happy to support "anything that encourages young people to find what they're passionate about and gives them a chance to do that."  Hunter, who'll turn 23 next month, admits that discovering his passion for music at a young age "really changed" his life.

Meanwhile, Hunter will be a guest on NBC's "Today" show.  He'll take the stage at Rockefeller Plaza Friday as this week's summer concert series performer.  Hayes is also expected to make a "surprise announcement" on the program.
