Jake Owen To Host ACM Honors Ceremony


(Undated) -- Jake Owen will help recognize some of the winners from the Academy of Country Music Awards who didn't get their due during April's televised ceremony. The country star is on board to host the 8th annual ACM Honors event, which pays tribute to Special Award recipients and those who earned their ACM awards off-camera. Jake making his debut as the event's host, and says he "couldn't be more proud" to have been tapped for the job. He adds that he feels "blessed to be a part of country music," and to be able to take part in "recognizing these incredible artists, musicians and industry executives."

This year's honorees include Carrie Underwood, Toby Keith, Rascal Flatts, and others. The 8th annual ACM Honors will take place at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium on September 9th.
