Jason Aldean, Tennessee Ernie Ford Achieving Chart Milestones


(Undated) -- Country stars from today and yesterday are making big moves on the charts. Billboard.com says Jason Aldean is burnin' up the Hot Country Songs list with his new single, "Burnin' It Down." The track has jumped from last week's number 42 debut to the top spot, and breaks the record Florida Georgia Line just set with "Dirt" for the largest leap in the chart's history.

Meanwhile, the late Tennessee Ernie Ford is back on the Country Albums chart for the first time in nearly 40 years with "Amazing Grace: 14 Treasured Hymns." At number 19, it's the week's the highest-debuting country album as well as Ford's highest-ever placement on that chart. The disc is starting its run on the Christian Albums list at number nine to become Ford's first top ten on any Billboard chart since 1965.
