Keith Urban Makes Plea To Preserve Nashville's Music Row

(Nashville, TN) -- Keith Urban doesn't want to see part of country music history lost to bulldozers. He's making a written appeal in the "Opinion" section of Nashville's "Tennessean" to protect the city's famed Music Row, which he says is "currently under threat from developers." The country star explains that "so many original buildings" are still standing, and attract musicians of "all genres" from "all over the world" who want to "immerse themselves in the kind of creative center that so many other cities have lost." He admits that "Nashville's growth is exciting, but not at the risk of losing the creative epicenter" that "truly makes Nashville Music City." Urban adds that he's hoping those who agree with him "will come together as a united front," and "continue to be vocal about preserving" Nashville's Music Row.
