Kip Moore Speaks Remotely At Hometown Sign Unveiling


(Tifton, GA) -- Kip Moore is letting his hometown know it means a lot to him to be honored with new road signs. Tifton, Georgia's "Tifton Gazette" says the country star couldn't attend Saturday's unveiling ceremony, during which the Tifton-Tift County Tourism Association officially unveiled a new road sign proclaiming the city the singer's birthplace. But other family members were on hand for the event, including Kip's sister Jennifer. And during the ceremony she called him and put the phone on speaker so he could say thanks personally. Kip added that he felt humbled and honored by the signs.

A total of eight signs, reading, "Welcome to Tifton Hometown of Country Music Artist Kip Moore," are going up at different entrance points to the city. Moore is currently on tour, and at the time of the unveiling was in Detroit. His next performance will be in Monte Vista, Colorado on Thursday.
