Miranda Lambert Developing Feature Film


(Undated) -- Miranda Lambert continues to hone her acting chops. Deadline.com says the country star is working with video director Trey Fanjoy on a feature film. Fanjoy co-wrote the script, which is described as a mix of "Bridesmaids" and "Steel Magnolias." The story takes place in the rural Midwest, and pits women against their men in a bass fishing tournament. Lambert and Fanjoy have worked on many music videos together. Trey was at the helm for Miranda's first, 2004's "Me and Charlie Talking," as well as her most recent video collaboration with Carrie Underwood on "Somethin' Bad." She has also worked with numerous other stars, including Taylor Swift, Lady Antebellum, and Garth Brooks. Lambert made her acting debut in 2012 in an episode of "Law & Order: SVU."
