Taylor Swift Announces New Album "1989," Debuts New Single

(Undated) -- Taylor Swift is delivering on her promise for big news. During her Monday Yahoo! live stream, she announced that her new album, titled "1989," will be released on October 27th. She also debuted the music video for her brand new single called "Shake It Off."

Taylor sat down with a group of lucky fans in New York for the huge reveal, kicking off the live stream dancing with audience members to the "Shake It Off" premiere. She answered questions from fans around the world about the album's inspiration. The title comes from the year of Taylor's birth, 1989, a time in history she describes as one of "endless possibilities." The star calls her next release "a rebirth," as well as her "favorite" album she's made yet. It became available to pre-purchase on Taylor's website immediately after the live stream.

The video for "Shake It Off" features Taylor dancing "like no one's watching" alongside groups of professional dancers of all different styles. She also chose about 100 of her most loyal fans to appear at the end of the clip. Along with the video, fans are also getting a first look at "1989's" album cover, which is a cut-off Poloroid photo of the star. More details about the album are available at TaylorSwift.com.
