Tim McGraw Fan Hires Lawyer Over Slapping Incident
Jul. 27, 2014
(Atlanta, GA) -- Tim McGraw might not be able to put his fan-slapping incident in the past just yet. TMZ.com says the woman, Jesslyn Taylor, has enlisted the services of a personal injury attorney, who is addressing the matter with the country star's camp. Lawyer Eric Hertz tells TMZ his client did nothing wrong at the concert. He explains that Jesslyn simply participated with enthusiasm in an "interact environment," and did not intend to touch the singer in any inappropriate way. He adds that Jesslyn was embarrassed over her ejection from the show, and is angered that she's been labeled the aggressor. But Hertz doesn't specify what Taylor is seeking from McGraw, aside from an apology.
The incident occurred at Tim's July 13th concert in Atlanta. A now widely-circulated fan-shot video shows the woman grabbing McGraw's upper thigh, and ripping the singer's jeans as he swats her hand away. He then leans over and slaps her in the head before she's escorted away by security. Police officials have said that based on the video, the woman appears to be acting aggressively and McGraw's reaction was not out of line.
