Trisha Yearwood Explains "Organic" Development Of Culinary Career


(Nashville, TN) -- Trisha Yearwood admits she never set out to have a career in the culinary industry. The country star is currently prepping for the publication of her third collection of recipes. But she says she was surprised to have success with any cookbook.


Yearwood's third cookbook is expected to arrive in stores in April. The singer has also teamed up with GreenPan on a collection of cookware and with Furi on a line of cutlery, which will be introduced this fall. But this weekend Trisha will help promote two GreenPan items as a guest on "In the Kitchen with David," airing on QVC this Sunday at noon Eastern. In addition, her cooking series "Trisha's Southern Kitchen" will launch its fifth season on the Food Network Saturday at 10:30 a.m.

Meanwhile Trisha also has a new album on the way. "PrizeFighter" is her long-awaited follow up to 2007's "Heaven Heartache and the Power of Love." And she'll be launching a world tour with husband Garth Brooks in Chicago on September 4th.
