Trisha Yearwood's New Album On The Way

(Nashville, TN) -- Trisha Yearwood says she "can't even find the right words to express" her excitement over her new studio album. The country star says she's calling her upcoming release "PrizeFighter" because it "feels like an anthem" for everyone. She explains that it's "about fighting for what you believe in and never giving up," which is "a message we all need to hear." An arrival date for the album hasn't been announced yet. But Yearwood has said she expected to release a new CD this fall, in conjunction with her tour with Garth Brooks. The trek begins in Chicago on September 4th. "PrizeFighter" is Trisha's first studio project in seven years, following 2007's "Heaven Heartache and the Power of Love." It's also her first release under a new deal with Sony Music.

Yearwood formally announced the album at an event Tuesday in Nashville, which also celebrated the many other projects she has in the works. The singer will launch the fifth season of her Food Network series, "Trisha's Southern Kitchen," this weekend. She also has another cookbook on the way, and she'll be introducing a line of cookware and cutlery this fall.
