Wynonna Planning Christmas Tour

(Nashville, TN) -- Wynonna is starting to make her holiday plans. The country star and her band, The Big Noise, will once again hit the road in December for their "A Simpler Christmas" tour. Shows will feature a mix of seasonal songs along with Wy's own hits. The singer says she always enjoys her holiday tour, because it's something special she can do for her fans. She explains that it's "so easy to get caught up in the perfectionism and the expectations" which come with that time of the year, and she's hoping she can get audience members to "forget about their 'to do' list" for a couple of hours and "simply enjoy themselves." Wy adds that she loves singing Christmas songs, because they inspire her to "remember the real reason for the season." She'll begin her ten-date "A Simpler Christmas" tour in Springfield, Ohio on December 3rd.

But Wynonna will be taking part in some summer events this weekend. She's playing the free "Country in the City" concert in Los Angeles on Saturday. Wy's also slated to sing the national anthem when the Dodgers host the Chicago Cubs on Sunday. The game will air nationally on WGN America at 4:00 p.m. Eastern.
