Fritz Moser

Middays, 9a – 1p

Born in Muncie but raised on the east side of Indianapolis (Go WC Warriors!) Fritz now lives on a dusty country road south of town. At home you’ll find him outside working on the yard, grilling out or just on the deck with his wife Melissa and 13 year old son Max. On many weekends they’ll take family road trips to various festivals, car shows or just to enjoy the scenery. When it comes to sports he cheers for the home teams (Colts, Pacers and Tony Stewart). He’s been on the air for more than twenty years - most of that time here in Indianapolis.

HOMETOWN: Indianapolis

CAREER HISTORY: Started at WIRE here in Indianapolis playing George Strait, Hank Jr., Merle and other greats.  Moved on to stations in Billings MT, Columbus IN and here in Indy.

FAVE LIVE MUSIC VENUE: If it’s a dry night I like being on the lawn at Verizon.

FAVORITE CONCERT I’VE EVER BEEN TO:  Wow…Best ever?  Probably Ronnie Milsap, Hank Jr & Ricky Skaggs at the Hoosier Dome in 1985.

MOVIES:  Any 007 film, Pulp Fiction, American Hot Wax, Die Hard, Lethal Weapon – you know the classics.

TELEVISION:  It’s a crazy mix - Pawn Stars, 2 and a 1/2 Men, 19 Kids and Counting are some of my favorites.

WEBSITES TO VISIT: Facebook, CMT, The Boot, Drudge and TMZ almost everyday.

LITTLE KNOWN FACT ABOUT ME: I’m a ham radio operator

ADDICTION: My biggest weakness (and diet killer) are sweets.   I love anything with sugar.

FAVE LOCAL RESTAURANTS: If you want the best pizza burger and fries head south to Columbus - Musillami’s Drive In is awesome!  Gray Brothers and Shapiros are some favorites too.

FAVE THING ABOUT WORK:  I get to play music and work with my friends all day.

TYPICAL BREAKFAST: Terrible…I’m one of those people who rarely eats breakfast.

FAVE ROADTRIP FROM INDY:  Haven’t done this yet but I’d like to load up the family and drive west to Mount Rushmore.  We’d hit Wal Drug and all the cheesy places along the way.

LIKE TO COOK?  I’m always on the grill.  My favorite dish is pulled pork smoked all day over cherry or apple wood.  I’ve got a pretty good sauce recipe I make to finish it off too.

FIRST CD PURCHASED: The Cars self titled cd.  I bought it from Video Concepts at Washington Square Mall for $24.99.  I didn’t even own a cd player yet.

PETS: Thanks to my wife, I’ve become fond of cats.  We have 3…2 indoor Lola and Trixie.  There’s also a stray that comes around we call Lucky.
