8 p.m. - MIDNIGHT
My dad is a pastor so we moved around a lot. I lived in Monroeville as a small child ... but Fort Wayne is where I went to Jr. High and High School, so I’ve kind of adopted the summit city as my hometown.
FAVORITE CONCERT I’VE EVER BEEN TO:
I’ve been lucky enough to see a lot of concerts over the years in a variety of genres...but I have two favorites: Garth at the Rosemont Horizon in 1998, WOW! enough said. And one of the first dates I had with my wife we went to see Dwight Yoakum at The Vogue ... It was just Dwight and another guitar player ... What an amazing night of music. Don’t ever pass up a chance to see either Garth or Dwight in concert.
I love to cook and I also love to eat too! In fact there’s not much I won’t eat or at least try. Snow skiing has become a passion with me, I’m not that good and I have a tendency to have “yard sales”, (that’s where you hit the ground so hard all your gear comes off)... But it’s a lot of fun. Love to go on long hikes...
Les Miserables, The Postman, The Kings Speech, The Last of The Mohicans, World’s Fastest Indian, Bachelor Party, Spy Game, Big Night (or course it’s about a restaurant), About A Boy, Love Actually .... Nothing like a good movie, I could list 500 movie I love!
In The Middle, Raising Hope, Modern Family, 30 Rock
My dad, my mom, my wife and my children.
BOOKS OR MAGAZINES:
I love to read ... Especially History books.
LITTLE KNOWN FACT ABOUT ME:
I was an extra in the movie “Rudy” and you can see me as clear as day during the game scene...I’m in the crowd right behind the bench!
COOLEST CELEBRITY I EVER MET:
Ray Romano ... He was very down to earth, funny, and cursed a lot...ha ha ha The kind of guy you would wanna hang out with.
FAVE LOCAL BARS:
I like anywhere it’s not to loud and they serve good dark beer. I admit it! I’m an unapologetic beer snob!
FAVE LOCAL RESTAURANTS:
Indy has so many cool restaurants! Just when I think I’ve discovered a new favorite, I discover another new favorite. I love to eat Thai Food, French, Italian, German, Vietnamese, Polish, Japan ... ACTUALLY I LIKE IT ALL!
Ireland and Scotland is my dream places to visit. Hiking through the highlands and visiting castles sounds like it would be a blast. Some day I’ll go visit!
FAVE THING ABOUT WORK:
Radio is a funny business, you actually spend a lot of time alone. I like the solitude of working by yourself and yet around thousands of people. Odd!?
Oatmeal, toast, coffee and veggie sausage...yummy!
There is nothing in this world that I can’t live without. The really important things to me are my relationships with friends and family. Not much else matters after that.
HOW I SPEND MY FREE TIME:
With my family ...
Close minded people ... I have no tolerance for intolerance.
Axel Atticus Mayflower is my boxer ... He’s the bestest dog in the world!
THREE NAMES I GO BY:
Dad, honey and “Dammit-Steve”
