The 2018 CMT Artists of the Year celebration is full of women this year and we couldn’t be more proud of ALL the awesome women in country music.

This is the first year that the lineup has been ALL FEMALE, and the celebration will honor Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert, Kelsea Ballerini, Maren Morris, Hillary Scott of Lady Antebellum, and Little Big Town’s Karen Fairchild and Kimberly Schlapman.

This is the first year Maren Morris has been honored and Kelsea’s second. It's also Miranda’s third year as an honoree and Carrie’s fourth. Karen and Kimberly have been honored as Little Big Town, but never as separate artists.

To make the all female Artists of the Year celebration even better, CMT also announced that Loretta Lynn will be receiving the Artist of a Lifetime award. The only other female artist to take home the Artist of a Lifetime award is Shania Twain, who received the award in 2016.

Loretta Lynn is one of the most recognizable names and voices in country music and her lifetime of dedication to it has made her one of the most loved women in the industry. Her latest album Wouldn’t It Be Great will be available Friday, September 28th.

You can watch the celebration and concert LIVE Wednesday, October 17th at 8pm ET/PT on CMT.
